Makedonia International Airport (SKG): Approximate driving time to the Athos Palace is 60 minutes and distance is 70 kilometres (42 miles).
Taxis are readily available at the airport arrivals terminal and cost approximately €72 to the hotel. Otherwise, take the public bus from the airport to Halkidiki station and from there, another bus to Kallithea – altogether a two-hour journey.
Driving directions: From the airport, follow the directions for Halkidiki and the town of Nea Moudania. Continue along the motorway for approximately 60 kilometres (36 miles) and cross over the bridge at the Potidea canal. Continue going straight until you pass the Kallithea resort which is only two kilometres before the Athos Palace Hotel.
To explore the surrounding area, car hire is highly recommended or taxis can be arranged through the hotel.
